Bo_Lé_Ro

DESCRIPTION

19’40” pays homage to one of the most iconic compositions in European art music.

Bo_Lé_Ro by Enrico Gabrielli is a suite comprising six movements and a reinterpretation of Maurice Ravel's Bolero. The suite was commissioned by Milena Zullo for a ballet in Padua, Italy and performed by the series’ in-house ensemble Esecutori di Metallo su Carta. Bo_Lé_Ro explores the different dimensions of Ravel's masterpiece, offering a fresh and exciting take on the classic piece.

Meanwhile, Sebastiano De Gennaro's Les Quatre Mille Coups is an OST from Frédéric Xavier Liwer's short art film that explores the idea of dancing to Béjart's 1961 choreography for Duška Sifnios. De Gennaro's composition captures the tension and emotion of the film perfectly.
