Morton Feldman: King of Intermissions
DESCRIPTION
Known for redefining how and where contemporary music can be heard, 19’40” turns its ear to Morton Feldman—not with a survey, but with a close-up. This album gathers the piano Intermissions (I & II, 4–6), The King of Denmark, Bass Clarinet and Percussion, and A Very Short Trumpet Piece: works where silence has weight, time stretches, and sound arrives without haste or explanation.
It is a portrait of Feldman’s listening (patient, lucid, and quietly radical) recorded between Milan and Lissolo, with a live take from Puntuale at BIKO Club, Milan. This release explores the spaces between events: islands of resonance, near-inaudible thresholds, and the art of waiting.
