DESCRIPTION
Two years after the first volume, 19’40’’ returns with Bambini Sperimentali Vol. 2, completing its project dedicated to experimental music for children. Expanding the original concept, the album brings together nine new commissions by artists from across the Italian experimental scene, each engaging with the same narrative framework: the story of a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. As in the first volume, this simple device becomes a shared point of departure for a wide range of musical approaches, from the playful to the abstract. Together with Vol. 1 and the book Puntino by Annalisa Limonta, Bambini Sperimentali Vol. 2 forms a collective exploration of how contemporary music can address younger listeners without reducing its complexity.
