Esce il 28 dicembre "Morton Feldman: King of Intermissions", un’indagine profonda sul vuoto e sul silenzio.

Milano, 26 dicembre 2025 – Il prossimo 28 dicembre, in una data che invita alla sospensione e alla riflessione, esce per 19’40’’ il ventottesimo album della collana discografica anticlassica fondata da Gabrielli, De Gennaro e Fusaro, intitolato "Morton Feldman: King of Intermissions". L'album raccoglie alcune delle opere più significative del compositore statunitense eseguite da Enrico Gabrielli (pianoforte e clarinetto basso), Sebastiano De Gennaro (percussioni), Marcello Corti (tromba) ed Elio Marchesini (percussioni).

Il disco si configura come un’esplorazione dell’estetica feldmaniana, fondata su quello che il critico Marco Moiraghi definisce "suono vuoto": una materia sonora che possiede spessore anche in assenza di massa, capace di vibrare attraverso l’attesa e la dilatazione del tempo. Al centro della pubblicazione risiedono le Intermissions pianistiche degli anni Cinquanta, intese non come semplici pause, ma come interruzioni radicali del flusso convenzionale, dove il suono si scarnifica fino a toccare una purezza cristallina.

Il programma attraversa diversi decenni della produzione di Feldman, evidenziando la sua natura di musicista profondamente autonomo e anti-sistematico. Dalla varietà timbrica di The King of Denmark (1964) per percussioni, si approda alla dissolvenza assoluta delle opere degli anni Ottanta, come A Very Short Trumpet Piece e Bass Clarinet and Percussion, qui presente in una preziosa registrazione live catturata presso il BIKO Club di Milano.

"Morton Feldman: King of Intermissions" non è solo un omaggio a uno dei più grandi liberi pensatori della musica del Novecento, ma un invito a un ascolto onirico e astratto. È un'opera che sfida le aspettative di forma e direzione, offrendo all'ascoltatore la possibilità di sprofondare in una dimensione di suprema libertà espressiva.

L'album, arricchito dai testi critici di Marco Moiraghi e dall'artwork di Alessandro Grazian, sarà disponibile sulla piattaforma Bandcamp e in formato fisico esclusivamente per gli abbonati di 19’40’’ a partire dal 28 dicembre.
